Challenges
I just taught a "NEEDLE AND WET FELTING JEWELRY CLASS".   In
this class my students learned how to make felted jewelry.  First they
rolled their fleece into the shape that they wanted and then with their
felting needles they made sure the shape was firm and even.  Then they
took their needle felted pieces and dipped them in a pan of warm soapy
water and then rolled it in their hands and on and in between a bamboo
mat. This process was repeated many times.  After their pieces were the
way they liked them they rinsed them in hot water to felt it even more and
get out the soap and then rinsed them again in cold water.  After that they
let it soak for a short time in water mixed with white vinegar and then
rinsed them again in clean cold water.  When that was finished they put
their pieces in between a towel to get as much of the water out of it and
then they shaped the pieces with their hands.

For the long pieces they
cut it with a sharp scissor
to make a geode shape.

The next step will be to
string their beads to make
necklaces or bracelets and
attach the felted pieces to
a ring or earring part.
