Challenges
Nancy, Carole and Lisa had seen my Overshot weaving on one of my looms and wanted to learn this technique so I created a class for them.

I took the pattern from the book "Best of Weavers - Overshot is Hot" edited by Madelyn van der Hoogt, pages 20-21.  The pattern was written by Erica de Ruiter.

The pattern had 15 different treadling designs and on my loom I used 10/2 pearl cotton in white for my warp  and tabby and 5/2 pearl cotton in black for the weft.  After I washed my sampler the yarn I used just blossomed beautifully.
My students chose the yarn they wanted, wound their warp on a warping board and then onto the back of their looms. They then tied it to the front of their looms and started creating their wonderful samplers.

Below are pictures of them weaving.
