Miss Waffle Weave

A “Waffle Weave” is one of the 

many of thousands patterns that 

can be woven.  I threaded my 

loom using Harrisville yarn which 

is a wool and wove a long piece 

of fabric.  I usually weave fabric 

for a dress and then create a doll. 

After the fabric was woven, I 

washed it in hot water, threw it in 

the dryer and lo and behold when 

I took it out of the dryer it looked 

just like a waffle.  It just fascinated 

me.

I sewed the dolls body, needle 

felted the head and hands and put 

her together.  Since her body and 

dress had a lot of red in it I gave 

her red lipstick to match.
