Challenges
April 2006:  I taught my class called “WOVEN TAPESTRY AND NEEDLE
FELTED DOLL” to members of “Hello Dollies” doll club located in Sun City
Summerlin – Las Vegas Nevada.  They each received a potholder loom that
they could keep and learned how to weave a doll’s body on it using several
tapestry techniques.  For the doll’s head, they were given fleece and felting
needles and they learned how to roll and poke their fleece into a head shape.
I then taught them how to make the eyes, chin, nose, mouth, eyelids and
more to make their dolls come alive.  They crocheted the arms and made
the doll’s legs out of purchased wool felt that they sewed and then they
embellished the shoes with yarn or fleece with their felting needles.
