Dena

Dena is a doll that I designed.  Her body is all cloth.  I wove her  skirt on my 16 shaft Toika computerized loom  using 5/2 pearl cotton.  The warp is black and the weft is purple and red woven 

as one.  I downloaded the weave from Handweaving.net.  It's a German weaving pattern draft number 12611.   

The front and the back of the woven cloth are different.  You can see the difference from the closeup pictures.

Dena and her clothes are my own design.  I made her necklace using the technique of macrame. I used the same yarn that I used to weave her skirt fabric.
